A stay at Casale del Principe offers visitors plenty of opportunità for walking, pony-trekking and mountain bikini; popular destinations are the recently rediscovered history and nature trails, Mount Jato and its archaeological remains. The farm provides guides for trips to Palermo and Monreale and visits to the towns of the Jato Valley, with its wealth of history and folklore.
Guests can join in with farming activities (the grape harvest, olive harvest, fruit or vegetable picking, depending on the season), learn traditional methods of making local dishes, take pottery, riding or archery courses (prior booking required), and take part in the cultural activities organised by the farm. For children there’s a play area with slides, games and swings; they can also see the animals reared at the farm and go on nature walks accompanied by play leaders (prior booking required).
